two things in muh mind

Went to times square today and SHOWROOM is on sale! the beautiful nike shoe that i was dreaming to buy was like rm195 instead of 279. Not to mention other expensive nike's like the denim one that's only rm230 instead of 300+. aaargh...how could i resist?!

Reeaallly tempted to buy...but then..gotta consider my financial position, not good at all. I dont really wanna waste money on unnecessary items right now cos i'm aiming for japan next year. Previously i was planning on buying stuff that can be useful in japan e.g. a nike sweater...heh. Gotta start weighing opportunity costs and allocate my very limited money to the right items. hmm..i'd probably end up not buying the shoe i guess...if i hadn't buy the shoe that i'm wearing right now..i would've bought this 1 for sure.

Enough about that. Let's talk about 'Deja Vu'.

I was quite sleepy for the 1st 15-20 minutes..then when it came to the part where they were using those high tech stuff to spy on 4 days before..it gets really exciting. Well, it's pretty much one of those time travel movies, but the way they put together the storyline and the logic they used behind the time travel was excellent. I've always thought about the speed of light being the factor of time travel when someone told me somethin bout einstein's theory. and also when i did my oral presentation about 'perception and reality'. If the light reflected from a moving car takes 5 seconds to reach our eyes, when we see the car, we're actually looking at it's position 5 seconds ago. but in reality the car might already be some distance away. Also read that when we look at stars or galaxies far far away through telescopes, we're actually lookin at what it was a few hundred million years ago..since the light takes that long to reach earth. Since the distance between earth n the sun is 8mins of light, we're always looking at the sun 8mins ago. Most of you out there might already know abt this theory anyway, but it's just so cool.

If we lower the speed of light, we can look into the past. But what if we increased the speed of light? does it mean we can see the future? i cant get any logic on that one though...since i'm not sure whether the future has already happened...if you get what i mean...lol. one of my english articles was talkin bout light n stuff sometime ago...forgot what it was saying though.

hmm...was reviewing the movie but got carried away with this stuff.

Conclusion: Rating - A
